How We Respond

When I picked up the kiddos today my daughter, Joslin looked sad so I asked her what was wrong & she said “one of my friends were being mean to me.” I said “ok what happened?” & Joslin said “one of my friends called my other friend a cry baby & when she did I told her not to call her that.” After that her friend told Joslin that if she didn’t start being her friend that she would start being mean to her again & then told everybody that Joslin was the one who called her other friend a crybaby.

Joslin was hurt so I asked her; “were you in the wrong?” She said “no” I said “right”. I then asked her if she was in the right & she said yes. I then asked her how it made her feel & she said it hurt my feelings & made me mad. I then told Joslin that sometimes we get misrepresented & sometimes we get thrown under the bus but it is how we react to the situation that matters.
I told her that you don’t know what is going on with your friend. I told her she may have a mom & dad that pay no attention to her or something else & that she is willing to do anything to get attention.
I asked Joslin do you ever have to wonder if mommy & daddy love you? She said “no”. I said do me & daddy spend time with you & she said “yes”. I then told her that most kids don’t have that & Joslin looked shocked. I told her we may not have a lot but we do have a lot of love. So I asked her what we could do for her friend & she said “we can pray for her” & I said “ok” & then she said “can I pray for her now?” & I said absolutely, so she prayed for her friend. So proud!!!!!
How you handle & how you respond to a situation is everything. It can lead you down a dark road or can take you closer to Jesus, it’s your choice. Just know sometimes we will be misrepresented & sometimes you will be thrown under the bus but if you look closer at the situation & be willing to thank God for the flames sometimes it will lead to a door God is wanting you to open for the next mission He has in store for you & believe me when that happens the flames were all worth it!!!

Tonight I went to Wal Mart for some alone time. It seems like the only place to really go after 11pm. My son's birthday is right around the corner, so I had my eye on some things there. A few weeks ago I foundd a drum set that my husband and I wanted to get him, so I decided to get it tonight. I got over to the clearance section and it was gone. Future Generations

Are we afraid of what will hapen when we get old and have to pass the teaching and leading of Jesus to the children growing up today? If  so why? Are we afraid they won't care as much or do something to hurt the name of Jesus? How many of you men out there know exactly when and what to buy your significant other? Do you just go buy them something or does your significant other have to tell you? Neither one is wrong.
